The government has decided on green energy auctions for the next year

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a decree on “Some issues of holding auctions for the distribution of renewable energy support quotas for 2025 and establishing indicative forecasts of annual support quotas for 2026-2029”.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.

It provides for the distribution of annual renewable energy support quotas at auctions in 2025:

33 MW – solar energy;
250 MW – wind energy;
47 MW – other types of alternative energy sources (except for wind energy, solar energy, blast furnace and coke oven gases, and hydropower – produced only by micro, mini and small hydropower plants).

The Order also sets a schedule for holding the relevant auctions in 2025.

In addition, the Government has set the maximum price offers at the auctions in 2025 at the level of:
8 euro cents per kWh for solar and wind power plants,
12 euro cents per kWh for other types of alternative energy sources.

Indicative forecasts of annual renewable energy support quotas for 2026-2029 have also been determined.

As reported by Ukrainian Energy, this year the United States has allocated €825 million to Ukraine for energy recovery. These funds are used to repair and restore energy facilities damaged by Russian attacks.
